Logbook Oshkosh – Day 1
Everything was ready for take-off from Baisy-Thy (EBBY) at 10:07, machine ready and our moral on top level. Thank you to you all for having waved us out. A little low-pass and heading to Calais with a vertical Amougies. A small trial run before the long distances …. Weather conditions are correct and our flight was escorted by 3 machines … Thanks to the guys for your support! After 01:03 of flight we touch down at Calais.
The Firefighter welcomed us warmly and we filled our tanks to the top. A quick goodbye to our escort team, lifted wheels direction Wick (BIRK). Not too many pictures along the way, we were too focused to avoid the clouds … to the detriment of images.
The weather forecast for Wick did not announced good things, we regularly contacted Wick Tower for an update of the local weather, meanwhile Harald looked for alternates to divert. Fortunately conditions improved and we took possession of Wick airport before the next shower. Calais-Wick flight of 4:01 hours.
The machines are covered, the team recovers. Andrew Brouss dropped us at the hotel where the “carvery” was waiting for us.
The weather for tomorrow does not look to good, we will stay on the ground … or not!

I visited Oskcosh in the milenium year and dreamed about participating with my own aircraft!! Now i am a little old for such adventure. All my respect and blessing for what you are doing. My thoughts are with you every second and cross my fingers for a safe crossing. You are Flying one of the best aircraft on the marker today. I am looking forward to meet you guys in EBBY or EBAM.
