Today’s weather doesn’t look good with violent thunderstorms on the West, especially in the Green Bay area, our next destination.
This forced us to redo a briefing to finally take the option to go to Lansing – our alternate to cross the border with the United States.

In addition to this change, a big paperwork awaits us before take off:
° Complete eAPIS records for each plane
° Then get customs authorization to reach the desired destination
° And finally, get to a point (Green Zone) where customs will wait for a complete inspection of our planes and its contents.

Once airborne, we take the time to fly over Niagara Falls for the last shots before joining our track towards the United States.
After just an hour of flight, we are informed by the control as storms is over Lansing and that a diversion would be preferable.
We decide to join Sarnia – a small base on Lake Huton – where we are greeted by Denis and his wife Judy.

We also found a small hotel in the city where we are very kindly drove.
So we are still in Canada, for one more night, maybe more.
